About Sight for Life Foundation
The Sight for Life Foundation’s objectives are to preserve and enhance vision throughout life. The Foundation is a national charity with deductible gift recipient status and has two main functions: the Sight Foundation Theatre and the Surgical Skills Training Laboratory. Charitable funds provided by generous donors and funds generated by the Sight Foundation Theatre, which operates the private day surgery service, support the Surgical Skills Training Laboratory. The Surgical Skills Training Laboratory provides experience in microsurgery to young doctors in training to be eye surgeons. It teaches the latest developments in surgery to specialists throughout Australia and around the world and is engaged with ground breaking research.
