Sightera is a techbio spin-off from the University of Antwerp and the University Hospital of Antwerp. Sightera’s drug discovery approach starts with capturing therapeutic effects from complex patient-derived models to accelerate the discovery of novel therapies beyond single-target strategies. Through an exclusive partnership with the University of Antwerp’s academic robotic screening platform, we generate large proprietary datasets to train our AI models for efficient identification and optimization of unique small molecules in cancer and regenerative medicine applications. Our prediction engine uses machine learning and deep learning to produce and prioritize compounds based on clinical relevance, patentability, and drug-like properties. Promising candidates are synthesized and experimentally validated in lab grown patient-derived models that accurately replicate disease biology. This enables patient stratification and speeds up lead optimization, delivering high-value, patient-relevant drug candidates with strong therapeutic potential.
