Our activities are focused on creating new communities through the provision of new, well located and quality family housing to rent– an important, yet neglected, element of the burgeoning UK PRS market Sigma has a heritage in regeneration and has delivered in excess of 6,300 houses across all tenures for its local authority partners as well as 8 schools and a number of community services facilities for the communities we serve. Our combination of partnerships with institutional funding, house builders and local councils has created a unique model that delivers a secure asset-backed income stream, providing scale and value for Investors. Our focus on the delivery of housing located close to quality education provision and key transport infrastructure is proving to be extremely popular with the economically active families we are targeting. 2016 saw a major new funding agreement with the Homes and Communities Agency (“HCA”) which marks an important milestone for the Group and will materially increase the rate at which we can deliver self-funded PRS homes. This complements funding streams already in place from Gatehouse Bank, UK PRS Properties’ Fund and Sigma’s own Equity. Sigma is also the architect of The PRS REIT plc, the first quoted Real Estate Investment Trust (“REIT”) to focus purely on the private rented sector (“PRS”). The PRS REIT plc, which is listed on the Specialist Fund Segment of Main Market of the London Stock Exchange plc, aims to provide investors with an attractive level of income, and income and capital growth, through investment in a portfolio of newly-constructed, residential PRS sites of multiple units.
