About Sigma - Independent Together
Sigma has been established as a licensed wholesaler and distributor for over 35 years. The family-owned business was started in 1975 from a small community pharmacy in Watford and has since grown into one of the largest pharmaceutical distributors in the country, employing over 400 people, and servicing over 3000 pharmacies, 1000 hospitals and 600 dispensing doctors throughout the UK and Europe. Core products and services include generic drugs, branded medicines, parallel trade and over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, whilst several other divisions have recently been set-up to accommodate the ever-changing landscape of community pharmacy. Sigma aims to work closely with all of their customers and suppliers to provide reliability, flexibility, quality management and a high level of customer care, whilst working to the highest regulatory and industry standards; their quality operations continue to meet the stringent requirements enforced by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
