About Sikh Australian Support for Family Violence (SASFV)
Sikh Australian Support for Family Violence (SASFV) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to raising awareness, providing support and striving for the prevention of family violence among the Sikh Australian community, and boarder culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) community. SASFV use their collaborative partnerships with professionals and service providers to ensure we are able to connect families to the support they need when facing family violence. Our networks also provide a platform for SASFV to share the voices of the community to advocate for changes to the service system that will better support the community. We also use education and training programs to promote healthy family relationships among CALD communities as a tool for the prevention of family violence. At SASFV we come together as a team of professionals who are passionate and committed to our vision. Our staff and volunteers serve our community with the empathy, impartiality and integrity required to understand the individual and diverse contexts of our clients. We collaborate with others in our community to empower our client’s to be able to access the equitable supports they need to succeed in achieving their goals.
