About Silver Oak High School - A Public Charter Montessori
At Silver Oak High School, our mission is develop true leaders that meet the challenges of the evolving global community by to promoting personal & social responsibility, collaboration, problem-solving, cultural awareness, diversity appreciation, and peace education to our student body and within our local community. Silver Oak High School was founded in 2013 in Hayward California. It was formed by a group of determined and passionate parents who wanted to provide their children with tuition-free, Montessori secondary education in a school environment that reflects the diversity of the local community. Silver Oak High School began with a limited staff, at a very small school site, with just 2 classes of freshmen and sophomores. Since then, Silver Oak has moved to a larger campus that can accommodate all four high school grade levels with a full enrollment of 200 students. Silver Oak has recruited and trained a staff of over 20 members, and has celebrated two successful graduating classes with a 100% college acceptance.
