About SilverSat
SilverSat is a community based non-profit for students in grades 6-12 in Silver Spring, Maryland with a mission of building and launching a CubeSat. SilverSat’s mission is to promote awareness of space exploration through educational outreach. In accordance with NASA's 2018 Strategic Plan, we work to inspire and engage the public in aeronautics, space, and science. Our student participants are working to “enhance public understanding of, and participation in, the Nation’s space program” through the use of a social media platform.
