Silverside makes neutron detection systems that keep our world healthy and safe. Our thermal neutron detectors can identify nuclear bombs, help farmers know when to water their fields, and give climate scientists insight into earth and space weather. We don’t stop with the best neutron detector available—we make it easy to use and deploy, in urban security and rural farm management. We’re a team of scientists, engineers, and policy analysts who solve complex customer application problems. Our overarching focus is applying science to create solutions that make the jobs of first responders easier, and help shape the healthy future of our world. Our proprietary, lithium-metal-based thermal neutron detection technology, developed in partnership with DARPA, is used by the global security industry to combat nuclear terrorism. Climate researchers use our neutron panels to understand the earth’s water systems. Silverside is developing new systems that extend the core neutron detection technology to new commercial markets.
