Simply Textbook collects and reutilises unwanted books, keeping them away from landfill. Free collection service to staff at any university in England, Wales and Scotland, collecting directly from any campus office or home location. Perhaps you are a Professor on the brink of retirement; or a member of a departmental admin team tasked with clearing an office space. Maybe you are under orders to downsize your workspace, or maybe you just have too many books on the shelf and need to clear some space to add a few more. Whatever your circumstances, if you have unwanted books that you need to quickly and reliably dispose of but refuse to "throw away", Simply Textbook is here to help. We specialise in the collection of academic books, however we accept ANY books with an ISBN (any subject, genre, age, condition, language). (Please note: we do not accept academic journals, dissertations, manuals, catalogues/brochures, magazines, or other items that do not have an ISBN. These items should be recycled locally if no longer required). We do all the heavy lifting for you, the only difficult bit involved is choosing which books to part with. (We know... it's never, ever easy, and parting with books can be emotionally painful). We take very good care of the books and find them a new home either by listing them for sale via online second hand marketplaces, offering them directly to local charity shops, or as a very last resort they are professionally recycled via a 3rd party. We never, ever, ever send books to landfill (and shudder at the thought). Proceeds from online sales helps us cover our running costs, and allow us to make cash donations to charity.
