About Singapore Medical Society of Ireland (SMSi)
The Singapore Medical Society of Ireland (SMSI) is a non-profit, student-run organization comprised Singaporeans pursuing Medicine, Dentistry and Allied Healthcare degrees in the Republic of Ireland (ROI). SMSI involves over 280 members from five different universities, forming the largest Singaporean student organization in ROI. We also warmly welcome Singaporeans who are on exchange programmes in ROI and studying other subjects outside health sciences such as Business or Law. Our events cater mainly to current students and these encompass social gatherings, educational talks, and sports competitions. We are in partnership with non-profit organizations that organize yearly medical mission trips. We strongly encourage our members to attend these trips for a meaningfully enriching experience. In addition, we provide guidance to prospective students who are considering studying in ROI, and to our university classmates (regardless of nationality) who are interested in working in Singapore in the near future. SMSi also reaches out to: - Prospective students, to provide the necessary information to facilitate applications - International students looking to pursue a career in Singapore - Junior and senior practitioners in Ireland.
