About Singapore National Stroke Association (SNSA)

The Singapore National Stroke Association (SNSA) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering every first step, from stroke recovery to reintegration, and in building communities that age well together. Our mission is to support stroke survivors and caregivers through timely interventions, trusted information, and community-based resources that enable meaningful recovery and independent living. At the heart of our work are befriending, counselling, and peer support programmes, many of which are led by stroke survivors themselves. These lived-experience initiatives form a vital part of SNSA’s approach to person-centred, community rehabilitation. We collaborate closely with healthcare institutions, social service agencies, and volunteers to strengthen care ecosystems, promote evidence-informed practice, and raise awareness on stroke prevention and brain health. Through our stroke resource centre, we provide access to practical tools, services, and a safe space for survivors and caregivers to seek support, share stories, and build social connections. As Singapore’s dedicated stroke support charity, SNSA is committed to advancing equity in stroke recovery, nurturing caregiver resilience, and fostering inclusive, age-friendly communities where everyone can thrive after stroke.
