Sionnach Relay designs overnight running relays and has its first European event in Ireland July 26th - 27th 2014 in Sligo Ireland. Sionnachs goal is to become one of the largest Relay Series in Europe. Sionnach is defined as Gaelic for a fox, particularly a red fox. -- The red fox is distinguished from other fox species by its ability to adapt quickly to new environments. The Fox is also known as a tough, fearless, free spirited, animal and those attributes are shared by the type of people that take part in the relay series in an approachable, friendly way. The brand also reflects the often-offbeat experience that can happen when hundreds of individuals and personalities come together to participate in a physically demanding, all-night relay race. Who are these people? People that prefer running under the stars, that give moral support to a struggling teammate at 3am, that aren’t afraid to live in a tent for 28 hours, and that join together in yelling as they cross the finish line.
