About Siren City Pipe Band
Siren City Pipe Band will continue to set the standard for bagpipe music in Hampton Roads by fielding a band at the highest level possible. Members invest in the band’s future with a formal development program, of which we invite all determined community members to take part in. We offer an organization that represents Norfolk on a global scale while also performing locally for the community. With an emphasis on education, Siren City Pipe Band presents Youth Piping & Drumming, which instills the values of teamwork, leadership, and musicianship in the next generation of pipers and drummers in Hampton Roads. Students 8 to 18 will have the opportunity to go from zero to pipe band, learning either the bagpipes or Scottish-style snare drum from Siren City Pipe Band members. City of Norfolk Pipe Band was formed in 2022 as a result of Siren City Pipe Band’s first formal education semester, Youth Piping & Drumming, and exists as an independent competitive pipe band under the organizational umbrella of Siren City Pipe Band. Siren City Pipe Band is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Band directly serves the local communities of the Hampton Roads region of Virginia, USA and beyond.
