SISSA (Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati) is a university institution and a scientific center of excellence within the national and international academic scene. Founded in 1978, SISSA is distinguished for its high-quality PhD education in three main areas: Physics, Mathematics and Neuroscience. The School's main mission is to promote the development of culture, the advancement of scientific knowledge and the preparation of young Italians and foreigners for scientific research and university teaching.
