About Sister2Sister
Sister2Sister is a social enterprise that seeks to empower young females aged 10-21, equipping them with the skills to step into their life with purpose and vision. We believe that where you go in life depends on who you choose to be from this moment on. During the Covid-19 Pandemic 2020, we were inspired by the ‘Miracle Morning’ by Hal Elrod to reassess our values and to create an extraordinary life for ourselves and others. We created Sister2Sister with an overwhelming need and desire to help our community thrive. We are hardworking, vision-focused women that have come from the very backgrounds and communities that we now wish to serve and see young people flourish within. A lack of aspiration can have a devastating impact upon the future and social positioning of a young ethnic minority female, which in turn can can have a negative impact on generation after generation. We work hard to create opportunities for young women by breaking down the barriers and removing the boundaries that can hold us back. We work with our Little Sisters one-to-one to cultivate their self-esteem, develop their confidence and become visionaries; because we know that young women become more confident when they believe in their own abilities and skills, and have positive role models to support them. Personal development and constant growth is at the core of what we do. For several years, we have explored a variety of personal development theories and coaching and mentoring techniques. We want to share our expertise and experience to serve the community that has helped shape the women that we have become. We help Little Sisters who: are vulnerable live in a single-parent household are eligible for free school meals (FSM) are looked after children (LAC) struggle with behavioural issues lack clarity in their aspirations suffer from low self-confidence Find out more about our mentorship programmes and ways we can work together on our website.
