About Sisters Haven

Sisters Haven is a faith based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides safe housing and a loving community to pregnant women and mothers with children without judgment. We serve adult women who are experiencing homelessness, poverty and lack a support system. Sisters Haven is located on the west side of Cleveland in the Cudell neighborhood. It is adjacent to the recreation center and elementary school, close proximity to an RTA station, a church, thrift store and numerous possibilities for employment. While our home is being renovated Sisters Haven is finalizing strategic partnerships with like-minded nonprofits and organizations throughout Cleveland. Our partnerships and resources will allow us to provide transformational programming aimed at conquering the leading causes of maternal vulnerability in Cuyahoga County (socio economic determinants, physical environment, physical and mental health). We will accomplish this through recognizing each woman’s individuality and developing goals focused on her unique physical, emotional, mental, faith and family needs. We will further develop community goals that will enable a woman and her child to experience a home filled with love, support and respect. Additional guidance and support will be given to help women with employment, childcare, education and further housing needs aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty from the very beginning of their child's life. We believe that women who live at Sisters Haven will choose to remain a part of our Christ-centered family.
