About Six Forks EMS
ix Forks EMS is part of the Wake County EMS system and is under contract to provide Emergency Medical Services to over 110 square miles in the Northwest portion of Wake county. Our responding members are NC State certified and work under the direction of the Wake County EMS & Medical Director, Dr. Brent Myers. Over the years our agency has grown to employ over 60 paid and volunteer staff members. We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year utilizing four ambulances during peak hours and two ambulances during off-peak hours. We responded to over 6100 emergency 911 dispatched calls in calendar year 2008.
