About Sixteen Plus
Sixteen Plus exists to support young people in their transition from childhood to being adults – ‘Bridging skills to full independence’. We help Local Authorities to meet their obligations, particularly to ‘Looked After’ children in their area. We are committed to young people and helping them to maximize their potential. We do not give up on young people and hold their safety and welfare as paramount. This ethos is reflected in our dealings with our young people, staff, commissioners, social workers and all partner agencies. Many of the young people have challenging behaviours but all have unique talents and we aim to treat them respectfully as individuals.
