About Skarø Is

Ice cream from Skarø Is a series of organic ice cream made with quality ingredients, that are primarily locally sourced. We produce all our ice cream on the island of Skarø in the South Funen archipelago in Denmark. The ice cream is a quality product constructed upon our unique recipes and special technology for different consumer or patient segments. We create our own recipes with the aim of achieving a great taste that is certainly good for our customers' health. What makes our ice cream unique is the fact that it is made with birch sap tapped from our own birch trees planted here on Skarø and sugar kelp sourced from the sea surrounding Denmark. Moreover, our entire production is 100% organic and gluten, soya and nut free. We are especially proud of our wide assortment of vegan sorbets. Skarø Is produces three categories of ice cream: Gourmet ice cream; Soft-ice and our specially designed functional nutrition ice cream for the healthcare sector in Denmark. Our high end ice cream is direct result of Skarø Is’s many years in the industry and their one-of-a-kind know-how, which undoubtedly distinguishes us from our competitors and makes us able to present something entirely unique.
