About Skills After Service

Skills After Service is a division of Distance Learning Media, LLC. providing job skills and entrepreneurial training for veterans who are transitioning from military service into civilian life. Transition stress affects more than two-thirds of US military personnel when they leave active duty. Difficulties finding meaningful work and adjusting to civilian life and the workforce can prove overwhelming and affect not only the service member but their families and the community at large. Skills After Service is providing an online "Transition Hub" that puts all of the information needed in one place. We're also providing live education classes around the country that help service members navigate starting and succeeding in entrepreneural endeavors. Along with our certification classes for veterans and HR/hiring professionals that are currently in development, we are bringing civilian and veteran-owned business owners together to foster community building, awareness and partnership for all participants, through our classes and events.
