About Skilltrade

Skilltrade specializes in hydrographic training and courses for the hydrographic survey, dredging and offshore construction industry. The curriculum was developed and is taught by professionals who have extensive experience in the field. The heart of the company is the commitment to a quality hydrographic education achieved by combining a sound theoretical foundation with practical skills developed in a field environment. Skilltrade can provide courses and training in six areas by combining theoretical with field experience material: 1. Hydrography course – Our Hydrographic Survey Course curriculum encompasses all basic and essential competencies of the Hydrographic Surveyor as defined by the FIG/IMO/ICA International Advisory Board on Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors for a Category “B” Course. 2. Introduction & normal courses in Hydrography, Landsurvey, Positioning and Mathematics, Depth sensors, Motion sensors, Survey sensors, Underwater acoustics, Offshore Construction. Advanced courses in geophysical sensors, ROV sensors or electronic trouble shooting 3. General courses in Project Management, international business and change management 4. Support to in-house training programs with respect to Hydrography and underwater techniques 5. ROV pilot technician training 6. Survey Engineer training The Category B- Hydrography course can be taught in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the world. We can provide the full curriculum or a selection from the various available courses such as the introductory courses, survey sensors and advanced courses. The courses have a set lay-out and can also be combined. Studenst are tested to establish their entry level and a course of study is determined based on their individual requirements.
