About Skillz Drum Lessons

Skillz Drum Lessons is a platform which provides everything for people interested in becoming drummers, and for drummers interested in becoming better drummers/musicians. We have a drum book/encyclopedia coming out soon called Level 1. This is a for drummers by drummers kind of project with all the basic rhythmic information we as a drumming community could possibly want: it's digital, interactive, FREE, almost 2500 pages long, annually updated, and consists of 8 parts: 1. Grooves 2. Fills 3. Tips 4. Exercises 5. CORE (Categories Of Rhythmic Elements) 6. Systems and formulas 7. Audio 8 .MIDI Wait. Did you say FREE? Yup. The idea is to get everyone involved in creating the best possible drum book so we can all enjoy the best possible work in the field of rhythm. The business model is to get every drummer on the planet using it, so it will become very interesting for companies to advertise in the project which will then pay for it. We're taking a huge risk, we know, but this is how much we believe in Level 1. Skillz Drum Lessons is divided into three divisions: A. Skillz Drum Academy - here is where our one-on-one lessons, either physical in our studio in Echt, The Netherlands, or via Skype are given. B. Skillz Drum Books - this is where the books are published and distributed. It will start with the encyclopedia Level 1 and then be expanded with separate Level 2 additions. C. Skillz Drum Coach - our online lessons membership area. We concentrate on people who have little time to practice and play the drums but want to learn how to play the instrument nonetheless. So if you don't have the time or resources to visit a great local teacher, or if you want detailed guidance to work from Level 1 and/or its additional volumes of Level 2, this is where you want to be. So you see we at Skillz are determined to make your choice to learn how to play the drums as easy as A, B, C.
