About Skylands Songwriters Guild INC

SSG is a non-profit entity for the sole purpose of building community among those who create and those who appreciate original music! We seek to provide an open and supportive atmosphere for aspiring amateur Singer-Songwriters through accomplished professionals of Northwest New Jersey and the surrounding region. The Guild hosts learning and sharing events such as Open Mics, Riverside Rhythm and Rhyme coffeehouse, Groove in the Grove Indie Music Festival, songcraft workshops and seminars, as well as showcases and festivals for performances. We provide an online opportunity for artists to list their performances and seek others for collaboration. We also hope to enlighten the public regarding the many talented, yet largely undiscovered independent singer-songwriters in our area and facilitate the careers of these artists. The organization is a volunteer run group who are well established in the local independent artist and live music community and have been involved in local music festivals and concert events for many years.
