SLATER MINING & ENERGY is a South African company that has been forged in the fires of experience, heritage, and a love for what we do. The founder, Ryan Slater, started in his early 20’s selling bags of anthracite from the family anthracite mine to retailers in Cape Town, South Africa. Now, decades later from those small beginnings, SLATER M&E is selling truck loads, train loads, ship loads as well as fully-fledged mines, some of which include independent power projects. Coming from a family lineage that ate, slept, and dreamed all things mining, the understanding and wisdom for how this industry operates has come from that which is both taught and caught. Long standing key relationships with industry experts have also resulted in a rich consulting base for informed decision-making that balances enthusiasm with wisdom and know-how. SLATER M&E have been fortunate enough to have several blue-chip metallurgical companies as clients. Added to this, SLATER M&E also leads as a bulk supplier of anthracite to the bagged market, supplying key retailers throughout South Africa. SLATER M&E offers high-level consulting services for companies conducting due diligences on mining opportunities as well as processing solutions, marketing solutions, logistics movement solutions, mining solutions and technology solutions. SLATER M&E is also forging path into the battery mineral space with a prime international graphite mining and processing project based in Mozambique. In addition to this, SLATER M&E is helping develop green energy projects in its mission to help the environment, humanity and economy to thrive.
