About Slovak Fashion Council
We are a professional non-profit organization which supports and develops Slovak fashion ecosystem. SFC was founded in 2011 by award-winning fashion designer Dana Kleinert. The SFC’s vision is the advancement of the fashion ecosystem in Slovakia through our explicit endeavors to help and assist local designers in the development of their brands, brand expansion and achieving an optimum profit – thus making them a vital part of the respective creative industry and culture. Through these very aims, we strive to build faith in Slovak fashion on a domestic level whilst simultaneously reinforcing strong Slovak fashion design awareness and interest abroad. The mission is to develop the Slovak fashion ecosystem whilst taking into account both local specifics and needs through the creation of a long-term programme to broaden the educational horizons of students and professionals in the fashion sector, thereby eventually bringing new opportunities pertaining to retail and wholesale – we present Slovak designers at home as well as abroad and we serve as a professional business contact point for the fashion and textile industry both in Slovakia and for international organisations.
