About Small Town Clothing Company
Small Town Clothing Company started with a simple idea: people in small towns deserve cool, well-made clothing that actually represents where they’re from. In a lot of rural areas, there just aren’t many great options when it comes to finding shirts or sweatshirts with local pride or personality — so I decided to change that. It all started in Elko New Market, Minnesota, right in my basement. I made a few T-shirts for fun, posted them on Facebook, and started doing porch pickups for friends and neighbors. Pretty soon, people were telling their friends, and I realized this could be something more than just a fun side project. In 2021, I launched a website and added more products — and that’s when things really took off. We now have over 100 unique products and have shipped orders to 48 states (still holding out hope for those last two!). You can also find our items in over 40 stores across Minnesota and surrounding states, which still blows my mind. At the heart of it all, Small Town Clothing Co. is about more than just apparel. It’s about capturing the feel of small-town living — the simplicity, the pride, the sense of community. Whether you live in the Midwest or somewhere totally different, I hope our designs make you feel a little more connected to that way of life. Every part of the business is still run by me out of my basement. I create the designs, pack the orders, and coordinate with shops and customers. All the product photos you see feature my actual friends, roommates, and neighbors. No models, no fancy studios — just real people who love what we’re building. And while we’ve grown a lot over the past few years, I’ve worked hard to keep things personal and rooted in community. Whether it’s a design for your hometown, a Vikings game day tee, or just something that makes you smile, I want our products to feel like they belong in your everyday life.
