About Smarā Therapy
Smarā Therapy is a culturally-attuned, trauma-informed private counselling and therapy practice supporting children and adults in the UK and globally (India, US). I also incorporate play and art therapy strategies in our work. Rooted in the belief that therapy is an act of remembering, of returning to stories, wounds, and wisdom held in the body, Smarā creates space for clients to make sense of their emotional world and build safety, connection, and self-trust. I’m a BACP-registered integrative therapist (MBACP) with a background in both the UK and India, supporting children, adolescents, and adults in schools, charities, and private practice. My work is rooted in a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed approach, with a focus on attachment and developmental psychology, supported by a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and research in cross-cultural safeguarding. My integrative, developmentally informed model draws from person-centered therapy, attachment theory, and interpersonal neurobiology. Sessions are held in person in London and online in a safe, collaborative space that honours neurodivergence, culture, and complexity. For children and teens (4–18), I offer gentle therapeutic support for emotional regulation, family stress, school anxiety, and identity exploration. For young adults (18–25), we explore relationships, career pressure, self-worth, and boundary work together. For adults, therapy supports healing from early trauma, shifting lifelong patterns, and cultivating secure inner foundations. Additional offerings include: ✔ One-to-one therapy packages and single-session intensives ✔ Culturally aware parent guidance ✔ Peer supervision groups for therapists ✔ Psychoeducational workshops for schools & organisations If you’re looking for therapy that sees the whole you—your culture, your story, your sensitivity—Smarā might be a good fit. 🌍 Therapy offered in London and online across the world
