SMART Start Business offers support and services for migrants and refugees to start business in NZ. The most important feature is that we offer our services in the client's preferred language. It is hard to provide an exclusive list of our services as they are tailored to the client's business needs, having said that, the main services we offer are; brain storming and business planning, company registrations and explaining legal and compliance requirements, help filling up forms and get information from the right agencies, preparing cash-flow, explaining legal formalities and business structures, preparing marketing plans and building websites. We have a one hour-free consultation during which we can brainstorm with the clients about their ideas, dreams, skills, approaches, business philosophies, ideas, budgets or anything the client, or we, find important to explore at this early stage. Prior to this meeting, and if we have an idea about what the clients want to do, we undertake preliminary research on their business idea to be able to make the most of this one free hour. We provide lower rates for people who holds Community Services Cards and we offer payment plans for all of our clients. Our main goal is to help people improve their wellbeing and economic status. Our interpreters or Culture-Bridging Specialists will receive training prior to meeting with clients in order to be able to provide more than word by word translation but also cultural packaging for our client to help them overcome the business cultural barriers.
