Smart Turner Pumps' roots go back to the 1870's when a machine shop was in operation in Hamilton, Ontario. In the late 1800's the company operated as the Smart-Eby Company, establishing a reputation for excellence in pumping and other machinery. The year 1902 saw incorporation of the company as Smart Turner Pumps Machine Company Limited, and by the 1930's the company was predominantly a pump manufacturer only and continued to maintain a high profile in the pump field with an excellent range of centrifugal and reciprocating pumps. During the 1960's and early '70's the widely diversified line of pump products was standardized and rationalized to form a consistent set of ranges from which both standard and specially fitted pumps could be produced. Now with a high level of interchangeability and sophisticated systems, Smart Turner Pumps are produced efficiently and economically while providing the flexibility of fitting the individual unit to precisely meet service demands.
