Smile Train is an international children’s charity and the first cleft-focused organization with a true model of sustainability. Smile Train empowers local medical professionals with training, funding, and resources to provide free cleft surgery and comprehensive cleft care to children globally. We advance a sustainable solution and scalable global health model for cleft treatment, drastically improving children's lives, including their ability to eat, breathe, and speak. Beyond surgery, our local partners also provide speech therapy, psychological support, nutritional services, orthodontics, and other essential forms of care to ensure that children with clefts have everything they need to not just live, but thrive. Our sustainable model makes us more efficient and effective than mission-based organizations, as Smile Train’s patients can receive care 365 days a year.
