Smoky Mountain Resort Ministries is a Christian ministry that functions as an independent non-profit ministry. Its purpose is to reveal the presence of God to those who live, work, and play in the resort settings of Sevier County. Its roots are in the Sevier County Association of Baptists. Smoky Mountain Resort Ministries reveals the presence of God active in the lives of individuals through its programs and its relationships. We work to enable others to encounter God through Jesus Christ. We remain sensitive to God’s leadership in peoples’ lives and we are respectful with our relationships. We are not about numbers in terms of attendance or responses. We are about helping others discover God at work in their lives. We are a mission expression of the Church. Smoky Mountain Resort Ministries sees ministry as meeting peoples’ needs and enabling their hopes in Christ’s name. We work to help others improve their lives and to enhance the visitor and worker experience in our resort areas. We are not a social service program although that is part of our purpose. We are a ministry expression of the Church. Smoky Mountain Resort Ministries grows the Church through discipleship of Christians and through modeling and enabling the mission calling of all Christians. We provide Bible teaching and missional development. We are not about getting people to go to church. We are about getting Christians into a missional lifestyle. We are growing the Church.
