Sønderborg Airport – A better way. We believe that Sønderborg Airport is special because we provide a high level of service, making it quick, easy and convenient to get out into the world. Sønderborg Airport is an international transport hub, ensuring short distances and travel times to the globalized world. We run 5 daily flights to and from Copenhagen Airports with a travel time of just 35 minutes. And we serve ad hoc charters to and from Sonderborg to other European destinations. In 2025, in addition to the route to Copenhagen, we have a seasonal route to Bornholm and a record-number of over 17 charter-destinations on our map of destinations. Sønderborg Airport would like to support the ongoing process to further develop a dynamic and attractive business cluster in and around the airport. One of the many projects we are working on is developing a consultancy center – Sonderborg Aviation Centre – where training and statutory courses in aviation can be held. The airport is jointly owned by the Bitten and Mads Clausen Foundation and Sønderborg Municipality and we want to contribute to a first-class business climate and service. We want to help put Sønderborg on the map, because we believe the city and the region has much to offer. Our contribution as an airport is to create short distances to cities and countries in Europe. We strive for continued passenger growth and in 2024 had a remarkable growth of over 18%, resulting in over 58.000 passengers using our airport as their gateway to and from the region. Our modernization process is ongoing and upgrading the 1794-meter-long runway is almost complete. In late 2025, construction of a new terminal is planned and by late 2027, a new terminal is expected to be inaugurated.
