About Snelgrove Ice Cream

We come from a long line of ice cream lovers! In 1929 Snelgrove Ice Cream was founded by Charles Rich Snelgrove, our grandpa/great grandpa, in Salt Lake City, Utah. With the help of his supportive family members and an incredible community, the business continued to grow. His son C. Laird Snelgrove, our dad/grandpa, took over the company and continued to have great success working alongside his children and other family members. In the 1990's the company was sold, but has remained a treasured part of our family. We were thrilled to reacquire the Snelgrove name trademark in 2019. Armed with the trademark in hand, the original family recipes, and lots of excitement we opened our first shop in September 2021.
