About Snobelen Farms
Snobelen Farms Ltd. – Quality Without Compromise Founded in 1971 by Mike and Judy Snobelen, Snobelen Farms Ltd. is a family-owned and operated agricultural company based in Lucknow, Ontario. With a legacy rooted in southern Bruce County, the company has grown from its humble beginnings—starting with two grain bins on a home farm—to become a leading producer, processor, and exporter of food-grade soybeans, commercial grains, and pedigreed seed. Our Evolution In 1976, Snobelen Farms expanded by acquiring the Lucknow elevator, followed by the Dungannon elevator in 1987. The 1990s marked a significant milestone as the company began exporting non-GMO, food-grade soybeans to meet European consumer demand. This expansion continued with the acquisition of facilities in Tiverton (2015), Blyth (2012), Brantford (2017), and Palmerston (2018), where a state-of-the-art seed processing and treating plant was established in 2020. Our Operations Operating eight elevator locations across southwestern Ontario, Snobelen Farms employs approximately 60 full-time staff members. The company's facilities are equipped to handle a variety of crops, including corn, wheat, soybeans, and flax. The Lucknow location specializes in cleaning, processing, and packaging food-grade soybeans using advanced equipment such as air-screeners, density separators, de-stoners, belt-sorters, and optical color sorters. The Palmerston facility focuses on seed processing for soybeans, wheat, and spring cereals. Our Commitment At Snobelen Farms, we are dedicated to maintaining the integrity, identity, and purity of our products. Our comprehensive quality assurance programs ensure that our food-grade soybeans meet the highest standards for safety and traceability. With a focus on exceptional customer service and innovative agricultural practices, we continue to support local farmers and serve markets across Canada and internationally.
