Mission: "To reclaim the true spirit of the day and to change the perception and experience of what St. Patrick's Day can be by providing family-friendly, alcohol free events that celebrate the depth of Irish culture, as well as year-round educational and cultural activities." Sober St. Patrick’s Day Foundation, Inc., a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, has brought family friendly events, celebrating the best in Irish entertainment, to both sides of the Atlantic for 6 years. We provide a healthy and safe experience for family, friends & people in recovery and others. Sober St. Patrick’s Day® was created by award-winning theater and television producer, William Spencer Reilly, who almost lost a member of his family to addiction in 2004. He first proposed the idea to leaders in the recovery and Irish American communities, a pitch that led, a year later, to the 2012 inaugural party. Now an annual sold out event, Sober St. Patrick’s Day® is held on parade day in New York City. It continues to grow throughout the world. The Irish Press has called Sober St. Patrick’s Day® the "ultimate family-friendly party on St. Patrick's Day." We are looking to bring this party to many more cities and college campuses both here and abroad, and are particularly interested in finding new board members to help us foster this movement.
