About Soch Mental Health

Soch Mental Health is a community mental health promotion initiative started by two community mental health nurses, Jasmeet Chagger (RN, BScN, MSc and Maneet Chahal-Gill (RN, BScN, MSc). Soch in Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi means "to think" or "a thought". As community mental health nurses, Jasmeet and Maneet truly believe that the way of combating the stigma towards mental health is to change the way our community "thinks" about mental health. Soch Mental Health aims to empower community members to recognize and accept mental health as an essential part of their wellness through education, prevention, and building resilience.
