I have been obsessed with social media since I was first able to open a Facebook account when I started college. Facebook was an awe inspiring tool I could use to connect with other students I met in class, through extracurriculars or when visiting friends at other colleges. I enjoyed seeing what my friends from high school were up to at their colleges throughout the country and being able to keep up with people I would have lost touch with otherwise. After college I began working for a local toy store. I was given the opportunity to run the company's e-commerce site and opened new online sites for the company through Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Shopatron. I also began managing the store's social media presence to coincide with their online shopping stores. This is where my passion was found for helping small businesses succeed using social media platforms' free and paid services. Companies can create tremendous marketing results when using social media sites organic and paid advertising reach. I have long read and gobbled up all knowledge I could find on social media as it has been a great interest of mine for over 10 years. As I grew to enjoy the marketing aspect of my job more I moved over to a Charleston run marketing company becoming their Social Media Guru. I ran many different social media platforms including business industries like real estate, business services, home services, food and beverage, and local speakers. While social media marketing is my specialty I am also happy to help clients with developing marketing strategies, creating newsletters, and search engine optimization.
