The goal of UMBC's chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers is to perpetuate the mission of SHPE National on campus while bolstering more inclusive engineering and scientific communities where all demographics are represented as leaders. We work towards this goal by promoting active discussion, sponsoring community service events, and hosting joint social events with like-minded organizations on campus.
