SoftTechExperts was founded by Joe Acunzo in 2003 to produce software products and custom solutions with a focus on integration of database and web applications. Acunzo has over 40 years of experience from both a business and technical standpoint. He is the architect of numerous award-winning software products on the Microsoft Windows and UNIX platforms. Products he designed have won awards from PC Magazine ("Editor’s Choice"), Imaging Magazine ("Product of the Year") and from Fujitsu ("Innovative Leadership Award"). Acunzo's consulting work includes design and development of solutions in the areas of workflow, document management, web and database solutions, and more. He has designed and delivered mission-critical software solutions for numerous organizations, including the largest US cable company (Comcast), the world's largest retailer, a national cancer research center in Maryland (Robert Wood Johnson Foundation), an international design and construction firm in Boston (Shawmut Design and Construction), an aerospace company in Montreal (IMP Innotech-Execaire), a grant foundation in New Jersey (KBW), and many others. In addition to management and software architecture experience, Acunzo has years of hands-on development. He has personally written commercial software using languages such as C/C++, VB.NET, VB6, C#.NET, PHP, VBScript, JavaScript, Smalltalk and others. His experience includes working with database engines such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Informix, SQLBase and Microsoft Access. He's developed software using technologies such as .NET, ASP, COM, Active/X, ADO, ODBC, XML, DHTML and others.
