About Solace Consulting

Solace Consulting is a family run quantity surveying and dispute resolution practice based in the East Midlands. We have over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, having previously worked in the steelwork, joinery, interior fit out and general building sectors. We offer a range of services to sub-contractors throughout the construction industry, whether large or small, and try to bring a sense of calm to the commercial side of businesses. But why set up Solace Consulting? Simply put, we've been there and we know how tough contracting is. When projects are running in full flow, it can be difficult to manage the commercial side, whether that be tracking variations, negotiating extensions of time or agreeing final accounts. Additionally, when a relationship with a client breaks down and a dispute ensues, it can lead to stress, heartache and sleepless nights as it is difficult to know which way to turn. Our goal is simple - to help subcontractors unlock their dispute by providing clear, straightforward assessments designed to avoid a lengthy and costly legal process.
