About Solarbelt FairFuel
Solarbelt FairFuel gGmbH was founded in 2019 as a non-profit partner company of atmosfair and is based in Berlin Neukölln. The non-profit organization owns and operates the world's first e-kerosene production plant in Emsland, Germany. We are still in the process of building up and are looking for people who want to join an energetic team in order to do committed development work in this important future field. Solarbelt's goal is to initiate, build and operate plants for the production of new, climate-friendly kerosene in developing countries in fair energy partnerships. Climate compatible kerosene is based on either green hydrogen or non-oil waste biomass (no biofuel). Solarbelt is pursuing both technology streams. For the climate integrity of the fuels, Solarbelt follows the criteria of the atmosfair fairfuel standard. Thus, it stands for a future in which North and South cooperate on an equal footing and protect the climate. Currently, Solarbelt is developing projects for follow-up plants in Asia, Africa, and South America. At the same time, Solarbelt has the task of winning over airlines and other customers for climate-friendly kerosene and of testing and promoting new technologies such as Direct Air Capture. As a non-profit organization, it does not distribute profits and uses income from the airlines or other customers such as tourism companies to further build up production and technology development. In the Emsland region, Solarbelt has taken on all the tasks of site scout, planner, general contractor, owner, and operator at its pioneering facility. It conceptualized the overall plant, contracted, and managed technology service providers and suppliers from sustainable biomass substrates for the biogas plants to wind farms, electrolysis, synthesis reactors, construction companies, refinery, and logistics.
