About SolarLab - customised solar facades
SolarLab designs, engineers and produce customised solar facades for new and retrofit buildings that are resilient, durable and low-maintenance to ensure they are more sustainable, beautiful and cost-effective. Our custom designed solutions provide both best-in-class PV technology and unparalleled design freedom to customize color, finish, texture, panellisation, dimensions and mounting geometry to ensure seamless and invisible integration in any architecture. Working closely with architects, contractors and owners to realize their vision we eliminate perceived risks early on in the project and provide the freedom to creatively use color, texture, shape, size and mounting geometry. To facilitate and de-risk the design and realization process we provide free BIM tools and design guides, as well as an on-line cost calculator to quickly visualise and support you project with data. As the project moves we provide design support, create detailed simulations, tailored samples and full size mock-ups that make the it tangible for everyone and testable as a means to realize forward thinking and sustainable architecture while complying with local codes. Produced in Denmark, using renewable energy and mostly recycled resources our facades comes with an EPD. As the only building material it will recover both the environmental and financial investment in just a few years, but continue to do so for +50 years SolarLab.global designed, engineered, produced and installed the BIPV facades Copenhagen International Schools. With its 12.000 custom BIPV panels it is one of the worlds largest solar facade installation and is just the first of Solarlab.global's many large BIPV facade projects around the world. Across climate zones we have proven that a solar facade system works, is easy to install, cost effective and beautiful as well as flexible enough to integrate in a wide range of architectural languages.
