About Solus Lighting & Controls
An Oregon Lighting Agency. Solus was founded in August 2009 as a partnership between a lighting industry veteran and an experienced lighting designer. The name Solus was derived from the Gaelic word for light, or knowledge, reflecting our company's mission to share our knowledge of lighting with the design, construction and distribution community. Originally formed as a team of eight, Solus quickly grew into a super-team of talented industry professionals with the shared goal of adding value to the design and construction industry in Portland and Southwest Washington. Over the past 10 years, Solus has tripled in size. Each member of the team brings a unique skillset, and the collective expertise of our team covers all facets of the design and construction process. We aim to be exceptional in all we do. We care about quality, integrity, professionalism and creativity. We aim to add value in every stage of a project, from the conception and design stages, through bidding, procurement and construction and beyond, providing warranty support through the life of the luminaire. We embrace our role in sustainability and work to minimize our impact (and the impact of the construction process) on the environment as much as possible. We provide cost-effective, energy-efficient lighting and control solutions that we stand behind.
