About Songea's Kids

Songea's Kids works with local Tanzanian NGOs to build hope and transform lives of orphans and vulnerable children. Working with Jirani Mwema, a local Tanzanian NGO, our child sponsorship program provides safe shelter, food, clothing, education and health care for 60 children from Mshangano Village. As children receive the basic needs and education, their lives are being transformed as they are able to attend vocational training, college, and even university to learn the skills to support themselves and their families. We also work with Hope Village Organization, a local NGO that is building a residential orphan haven that will care for up to 140 of the most desperate orphans. Once completed, Hope Village will serve both orphans and up to 2800 local villagers, with a health care/dispensary facility, multiple vocational training classrooms, and a pre-primary school.
