Sonic Records is a production company and Indie record label founded in 2002 by Grammy Award winning Engineer/Producer/Songwriter Juan Cristóbal Losada “Mr Sonic”. We are committed to the music creation process in all of its aspects, offering services for mixing, mastering, production, artist development and songwriting. Some of our credits include collaborations or studio projects for Shakira, Santana, Ricky Martin, Prince Royce, Don Omar, David Foster, and many others. In 2009, Sonic Records and legendary peermusic publishing joined forces creating SonicProjects Music Publishing in a venture that would undoubtedly raise the bar of excellence in today's music industry. Sonic Records has diligently signed acts like international salsa superstar Edwin Bonilla, releasing his latest album, ‘Homenaje a los Rumberos’ which immediately reached a solid #16 on the Billboard Tropical Albums chart. A much noted signing to the label as well is Plácido, son of the celebrated tenor and philanthropist Plácido Domingo. In 2010, together with SonicProjects Records, Plácido presented his international debut as a performer, joining his talent to that of Juan Cristóbal Losada, with whom he created a Christmas EP released in Nov 2010. The future of Sonic Records looks bright due to the strong foundation built by Juan Cristóbal Losada and the SonicProjects Team. A new vision of the business, the global infrastructure of a major and still independent publishing company, and a state of the art in-house recording studio are just a few of the qualities that set this company apart.
