About Sönmez Global Yapı ve Ticaret
SONMEZ GLOBAL YAPI VE TICARET A.S. has been founded in 1980 as a specialized engineering company. Manufacturing predominantly for textile sector during the first years, soon began providing construction services along with on-site applications of the produced devices and engineering contributions. By paying special attention to the training and improvement of its engineering task force, Sonmez, starting from textile industry, expanded its activities to different industries such as pharmaceutics, food, ceramics, automotive, media and others, by providing fully developed solutions engineered to the air conditioning needs of these industries, and became a reputable and well known company in its field. Parallel to the developments of the building sector in Turkey, and the increase of the number of “intelligent” BMS managed, mostly high raised buildings, such as; office towers, hospitals, hotels and shopping malls, Sonmez expanded its activities to comfort sector and improved its organization to undertake turn-key contracting of such complete mechanical installations, i.e. heating, air conditioning, firefighting, sanitary and others. The Company has continued improving by turnkey projects like fuel terminal plants and parenteral solution plant. The Company performs construction services abroad, and has ongoing projects in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan and successfully completed projects in Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Romania, Iraq and Tunisia. Continuing to develop by providing construction services both in the country and abroad, Sonmez proceeds to provide service for its customers for substructure and superstructure projects.
