Sono Vaso is a Hong Kong-based international designer fashion maternity clothes label offering a variety of maternity wear for the modern pregnant woman. The brand’s design philosophy is “Think fashion and translate the trend into maternity.” Sono Vaso dresses the beautiful woman with the beautiful bump! The name “Sono Vaso” is Italian for “I am a vessel” – a tribute to the fact that every pregnant woman is indeed a vessel bearing new life, in body and in spirit. The partners in the business are Rita Yaworsky from Sweden and Melanie McInally from Australia – they’re both mums, they both live in Hong Kong, and they both have many years of experience in the fashion industry. Sono Vaso uses mainly fabrics made from natural fibres. Modal, a fibre produced by Lenzing, is made from 100% beech-wood pulp, a natural raw material that breathes naturally like cotton. The fibre is a by-product of the timber industry from sustained forestry plantations, and is produced to the highest environmental standards.
