When Jason Korkus, DDS opened his first practice in the Little Village area of Chicago, He quickly fell in love with the multi-cultural community and the patients he served, and had one goal: Provide the most caring, professional dental services for everyone in the family—including infants, pregnant mothers and elderly family members. Sonrisa prides itself on delivering timely care, allowing same-day, no-wait appointments for patients with critical dental issues. Sonrisa’s professional staff is multi-lingual, taking time to explain and educate all patients and parents on proper oral hygiene and care to prevent future dental problems. "I didn't speak Spanish, but I learned the language and I wouldn't trade my patients for anything," he says. From those beginnings, Dr. Korkus has expanded Sonrisa to serve largely Hispanic communities in the Humboldt Park, Little Village, Gage Park and the Belmont-Cragin neighborhoods. "We're located near existing hospitals to make it more convenient and easy for patients to schedule their time with us," Dr. Korkus says. Dr. Korkus and his staff have built a reputation, largely by word-of-mouth, for their family-friendly and patient focused practice, and now have SEVEN office locations, with more locations to open in the coming months!
