About Sons of Liberty Museum
The Sons of Liberty represented groups of patriots in the American Revolution. Throughout the history of the United States there have been sons and daughters that continued this tradition; they are those that served in the military. The Sons of Liberty Museum honors and provides education on the service of these 'Sons'. Our mobile museum the USH-Constitution (MM-1776) is a 28-foot towed exhibit of American history that visits schools, veteran and other civic events in the North Texas area. With an expansive collection of military artifacts dating from the Revolutionary War to the present day conflicts we display uniforms, gear, medals, ribbons, photos, scrapbooks, periodicals, papers and battlefield relics preserve rich historical stories. This collection continues to grow and we welcome donations from all branches of service, Army, Army Air Corps, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and including the Coast Guard, Merchant Marine and the new Space Force. We also house artifacts from the service academies, military schools and persons who worked on the homefront during wartime. Artifacts in the collection take on many shapes and sizes. The Purple Heart from a Killed In Action, fatigues from jungles of Vietnam. Uniforms of Medal of Honor recipients. The first to step foot on Utah Beach on D-Day. Members of SHAEF, Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Forces, World War II. Awardees of three CIBs, (Combat Infantryman's Badge) signifying having been on the front lines in three wars; World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Items from three generations of families serving in three conflicts; World War I, World War II and Vietnam. Marines killed on Saipan, Army Green Berets, Special Forces. MACV-SOG.
