About Sontronics

Sontronics was founded in 2004 by musician and engineer Trevor Coley with the intention of combining his passion for music, precision engineering and modern design. We launched our first collection of mics at the 2005 NAMM Show, and the same ethos continues to this day – to design innovative products that deliver outstanding results at a realistic price, a belief that has seen Sontronics mature into a brand respected worldwide. Our range now includes a variety of condenser, valve/tube, dynamic and instrument mics, including our multi-award-winning ARIA and MERCURY, our beautiful new phantom-powered ribbon mics - SIGMA 2, DELTA 2 and APOLLO 2 – and our best-selling SOLO and CORONA dynamic mics. We design and develop all our microphones here in Dorset, and the majority of our microphones are hand-built here at Sontronics HQ too. We work with with top UK producers, musicians and the engineers at Abbey Road Studios (with whom we have a unique relationship) to beta-test all new products before they go into production and keep tight control over quality at all stages of manufacture, with many mics being hand-finished by Trevor himself. The sound and build quality are so high and our mics are so reliable that we offer a LIFETIME WARRANTY on all our microphones.
